As part of the meeting between the Bureau of the International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ) and the Executive Committee of the European Union of Judicial Officers (UEHJ) held last February in Madrid, the General Council of Spanish Procurators (Consejo General de Procuradores) held a session in which some of the leading international legal experts in matters of civil enforcement from around a hundred countries met to compare models, identify best practices and explore possible improvements for a speedier and more effective and citizen-centred enforcement of court rulings.
NAKOM was honoured to provide simultaneous interpreting services in English, Spanish and French to ensure there were no language barriers. Events such as this pose the exciting challenge of accurately conveying highly nuanced and specialised legal concepts for which there are often no direct equivalents in different legal systems.
