A sworn translation refers to a translation by a certified, sworn translator.
This is an official certification: the sworn translator is responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the translated text; the sworn translator’s signature and stamp certify that the translation is a true and accurate translation of the original text and provide it with equal legal validity.

Who can swear (certify) translations?
Factors like the combination of languages or country of destination where the document will be submitted will determine the steps taken to ensure that a sworn translation if valid.
NAKOM works with an extensive network of sworn translations who are recognised by the competent authorities in each country. For Spain, it is the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation who grants the title of sworn (or certified) translator or interpreter.
