{"id":4874,"date":"2011-07-01T18:27:22","date_gmt":"2011-07-01T16:27:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nakom.net\/lawyer-training-and-juristic-language\/"},"modified":"2025-09-24T13:05:36","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T11:05:36","slug":"lawyer-training-and-juristic-language","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nakom.net\/en\/lawyer-training-and-juristic-language\/","title":{"rendered":"Lawyer training and juristic language"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the UNIJES, teacher and President of Congress <strong>Mrs. Cristina Carretero Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong>, has given a speech about &#8220;Lawyer training and juristic language&#8221; in which she cited prestiguous thinker and writer, Joaquin Bayo Delgado. His writings contain a great deal of knowledge from the perspective of both a barrister and linguist and demonstrate that lawyers employ a barroque language out of confidence and economy. It was a question of Confidence, since previously clerks didn&#8217;t leave spaces so as to avoid words being added to the text and economy since they charged a fee; more pages meant more money. &#8220;We&#8217;ve inherited it without even knowing&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Cristina Carretera emphasized the importance of clarity in language, highlighting Article 3 of the new legislation regarding the lawyer and barrister professions.
