Arranging sworn translations well in advance is advisable to avoid delays in the filing process.<\/p>\n<h3>Documents requiring sworn translation<\/h3>\n<p>Any document issued in a language other than Spanish must be accompanied by an official sworn translation. This requirement applies to all foreign documents, particularly <strong>criminal record certificates<\/strong> issued in the country of origin.<\/p>\n<p>Translations must be performed by a <strong>sworn translator<\/strong> appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation (MAEC).
